My driver airbag (steering wheel) was deployed. I have the replacement airbag, but no clue on how to install it. Anyone have any site/instruction on how to do it? Thanks in advance.

go to the dealer
Replacing an airbag in a vehicle requires specialized knowledge and tools. GO TO A DEALER. Air bags can easily be set off by even static electricity. You can readily be injured while installing them. If you manage to survive the accidental deployment, you have the additional expense of replacing the airbag again.
This is not a task to be taken lightly, in all seriousness, GO TO A DEALER.
Step one unplug both the positive and negitive cables on the battery wait 5 minutes before messig with wires, next buy a new clock spring for the air bag, the wir is yellow. next buy the safety screw tool to remove the security bolts unbolt the air bag, be sure to aline front tires straight foward remove steering wheel disconnect wire to horn and air bag (Yellow) next unscrew the four screws holding the clock spring on the steering colum disconnect the clock spring wire at the quick disconnect plug. next remove the air bag brain from the car, takes two security screws to remove replace air bag brain (Computer) next hook up the computer, next replace the accelarometer in the drivers compartment go to (alldataDIY.com) to locate. Replace it then hook up the air bag bolt to steering wheel, next connect the battery cables together, next turn key on using a long pole to turn the ing. switch on, if all is ok the bag will not deploy keep your arms away from that area or turn on key from passenger side and stay away from air bag deployment area. if all goes well the air bag light will come on when you turn the key on, if there is a problem the air bag will flash all the time, if thats the case take it to a shop if not and the light is out your ok start the car and be sure all works right. also on the clock spring turn it all the way to the left and then all the way to the right gently until it stops, find out how many turns it takes to end at each end then split it turn the clock spring 3 1/2 turns so the spring is centered then your set. always be careful as the air bag could deploy. I checked out the site the other guy is talking about and for $14.00 they have all the info you need to know including hoe to clear codes without a scanner. the stie is http://www.airbagsolutions.com/contact.aspx
Check out this website.
http://www.airbagsolutions.com
The purpose of this website and company is to help people diagnose and repair airbag problems themselves without taking them to the dealer (if possible). It offers all the photos and data you need to understand your airbag system, read the codes and reset the light. It’s a pay site, but it certainly is worth the money ($14.95 for 1 day full access)
There’s a place to check if your car is listed on the home page
http://www.airbagsolutions.com/vehicles_list.aspx
This is quite an extensive website with pictures, descriptions and factory fault code charts as well as a working demo @ http://www.airbagsolutions.com/demo.aspx that shows just how easy these repairs can be. Although it does not give step by step instructions, there is enough information in the pictures that most people can do it themselves.
Lots of insurance companies and body shops use this site for the information they need to repair your car.
I hope I’ve helped you
Take it to a dealer. If you mess up something while installing a airbag the airbag can go off and then not only are you out the cost of the airbag but you may get a broken nose in the process.
