Wow, this commerical is stupid. From my perspective it looks like most of the people bought Lexus and only one bought Audi.

I would choose the Q5 though, simply because it has 1) Better looks 2) Cheaper Price and, as the video described it, 3) Better driving dynamics.
I think the thing about Toyota/Lexus is that they are often too conservative in their designs and suspensions and such… their cars all end up looking sissy and their ride a bit TOO smooth. Even with the Prius/Insight comparison… the Insight, despite being so much cheaper, had much more of a “driving feel” to it then the more comfortable Prius,
I really don’t know why they raised the pricing for the 2010 RX models (+$5000 in Canada, where I live). It used to be around $42~k base, the current price of the Q5, which really stood out as it was mid-sized but the Acura RDX, Infiniti EX and BMW X3 (its only competitors before the Q5 and GLK) all had a much smaller size:price ratio.
But the RX does triumph in such things as ride feel, noise isolation and fuel economy [esp. the RXh needless to be mentioned], an icon of Lexus models.
The Audi Q5 is still a better SUV. Motortrend compared 4 compact suv including the Lexus RX and the Audi Q5 and guess what ? The Audi won the comparison, it’s better than the Lexus.
“Good” or “Bad” is just too generic of a comment to describe any car. I think what prozac88 is trying to say is that the Lexus RX dominated the luxury-compact-SUV market, which is true in North America due to its lack of competitors in the same segment when the RX first came out. There is nothing “good” or “bad” about any of these cars — the Q5 and RX are both remarkable vehicles simply because they are in the luxury segment. You get what you get for the money.
